Cloud Support Technician

Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading Media company based in Surrey who are currently looking for an experienced Cloud Support Technician to join their business on a permanent basis.

Our client is currently seeking a skilled individual to join their dynamic team. This exciting position combines operational tasks and technical support, fostering both independent work and collaborative efforts within a diverse group. You will play a vital role in a variety of responsibilities, including setup, maintenance, user assistance, and operational support across multiple locations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing performance enhancements for diverse system configurations, encompassing cutting-edge editing suites (Avid, Adobe), virtual machines (VMs), and file server infrastructures.
• Offering prompt initial remote assistance to end users, ensuring their seamless experience.
• Deploying and integrating users into Active Directory and other server-based applications.
• Guiding operators, production staff, and end users through various operational scenarios.
• Conducting regular system checks and routine maintenance for our supported platforms.
• Responding to technical support inquiries and tickets promptly and effectively.
• Assessing and appraising novel software and hardware solutions.
• Developing comprehensive internal workflows, troubleshooting guidelines, and informative resources.
• Delivering remote support via online channels and telephone communications for our advanced systems.
• Assisting end users in adapting to remote workflows and facilitating their onboarding process.
• Configuring and dispatching remote toolkits to ensure optimal performance.
• Contributing to equipment preparation and project planning initiatives.
• Conducting general maintenance tasks and identifying potential equipment malfunctions.
• Streamlining project onboarding processes and identifying resource availability.

 

Required Skills:

• Exceptional proficiency in assembling and maintaining computer systems.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows, macOS, and iOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with fundamental networking concepts (e.g., Routing, Switching, etc.).
• Sound understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Teradici, and Virtual Machine Environments.
• Comprehensive comprehension of Dell Switches.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective telephone and email correspondence.
• Proficiency in utilizing the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Demonstrated experience with virtual machines.
