Senior IT Engineer

Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading Manufacturing company based in Birmingham who are currently looking for an experienced Cloud Support Technician to join their business on a permanent basis.

This role will involve offering assistance to the clients onsite and remote workforce. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring the availability of IT systems and services. They're looking for a resourceful problem solver with excellent communication skills who is proficient in resolving intricate issues within a fast-paced setting.

 

Responsibilities:

  • The Senior IT Technician will assume overall responsibility for the daily operation of the clients IT support service, ensuring the maintenance of appropriate service levels and system reliability.
  • You will guarantee that all users of their IT systems and services receive outstanding support. This includes logging, addressing, and resolving requests, faults, and issues within agreed-upon SLAs while maintaining transparent communication with users about their requests.
  • The Senior IT Technician will also oversee the day-to-day supervision of IT Technicians. Teamwork, adaptability, and responsiveness to changing demands within the company are expected from all staff members.
  • Overseeing the IT service desk to ensure all IT support requests align with service desk procedures and priorities.
  • Assuming accountability and responsibility for daily IT support to all users and addressing ongoing or recurring service disruptions.
  • Developing, integrating, and managing working practices within the IT Support Team to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, professional IT service to our organization.
  • Managing up-to-date documentation for relevant IT and AV systems and hardware, including maintenance contracts and warranties.
  • Documenting IT hardware, software, and audio-visual equipment, both digitally and in print, and ensuring user guides and knowledgebase articles are accessible to users.
  • Serving as an escalation point for IT support technicians and liaising with the company when necessary.
  • Providing IT support for internal and external events, including equipment setup and testing.
  • Delivering training on our IT systems and services to all users.
  • Supporting and maintaining all user-owned technology devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, software, and mobile devices.
