Platform Engineer

My client are the leading and fastest-growing provider of parking solutions, and they’re expanding their horizons globally with exciting developments in electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. As an Experienced Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping their technology landscape.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the transition from on-premises systems to the Azure Cloud, promoting the adoption of Azure-native practices.
  • Establishing an Azure presence across our European markets to support our global expansion.
  • Efficiently managing Azure Cloud resources to optimise costs while maintaining robust Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Designing and implementing cloud-native solutions and strengthening security measures.
  • Guiding and advocating for an Azure Native-first approach within the team.
  • Implementing and enhancing critical alerting systems for Azure cloud services.

 

Key Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, encompassing pertinent aspects of deployment, networking, and security technologies for both cloud-based and hybrid environments.
  • Sound expertise in Cloud services (specifically Microsoft Azure) with a substantial hands-on track record.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a DevOps culture, with a strong skill set in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), notably Terraform.
  • Competent in managing and constructing Kubernetes clusters.
  • Recent experience in configuring Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls, Azure Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Application Security Groups (ASGs).
  • Hands-on experience in security management, architecture, and associated toolsets.
  • Expertise in administering and configuring MS/Azure Active Directory, Windows Server, and associated applications.
  • Experience in application migration and ongoing management on the Microsoft Azure platform.
  • Familiarity with the configuration of virtualized environments, including server and desktop environments.
