IT Support Engineer
Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading construction company based in London who are currently looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will provide first and second-line technical support to ensure the efficient operation of their organisation's IT infrastructure. This role involves supporting a variety of technologies and tools, including O365, Teams, Azure, Intune, Windows 10, Windows 11, Sonicwall VPN, AV/VC equipment, and more. Additionally, the role includes setting up construction sites within London with internet access and print capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- 1st and 2nd Line Support: Provide first and second-line technical support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Infrastructure Support: Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of our IT infrastructure, including but not limited to O365, Teams, Azure, Intune, Windows 10, and Windows 11.
- Laptop/IOS Device Preparation: Image and prepare laptops and IOS devices for new employees, ensuring they have the necessary software and settings.
- AV/VC Equipment Support: Assist with the setup and troubleshooting of audio-visual and video conferencing equipment in meeting rooms.
- VPN Support: Support and maintain the Sonicwall VPN, ensuring secure and reliable remote access for employees.
- Software Deployment: Deploy new software applications to end-user devices, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
- Hardware Refresh Project: Contribute to and support company-wide hardware refresh projects, including Windows 11 upgrades and ensuring smooth transitions for end-users.
- Desk Side Support: Provide hands-on support to end-users at their desks when needed. Log support tickets, resolve issues, and escalate to 3rd line support when necessary.
- Mobile Device Management: Set up iPhones using Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM), ensuring security and compliance.
- Construction Site IT Setup: Set up construction sites with internet access and printing capabilities, ensuring that remote locations have the necessary IT infrastructure.
Experience Required:
- Proven experience in technical support and infrastructure maintenance.
- Proficiency in O365, Teams, Azure, Intune, Windows 10, Windows 11, and Sonicwall VPN.
- Familiarity with imaging and preparing laptops and IOS devices.
- Knowledge of AV/VC equipment and video conferencing solutions.
- Experience with software deployment and managing hardware refresh projects.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
